Thomas “Tom” Woolston, 73, of Bradenton, FL formerly of Paoli, IN, passed away quietly at his home on Thursday, June 29, 2023.
He was born February 4, 1950 in Princeton, IN to William (Bill) and Janice (Thompson) Woolston. He married his high school sweetheart, Frances C Seybold Woolston on September 28, 1968, celebrating 54 years of marriage.
Tom was a graduate of Paoli Jr-Sr High School, Paoli, IN, Class of 1968. He and his wife, Fran, retired to Bradenton in 2018, after holding several different occupations throughout his life ranging from farmer to sales to truck driver. He and Fran were also operators of Little Twirl restaurant. He was a former elder of Syria Christian Church, and also attended Dogwood Community Church. While in Florida, he attended Bayshore Church of the Nazarene in Bradenton. Before retiring to Florida, he served on the Paoli Township Trustee Advisory Board. He was a great husband, father, papaw and loved by so many!
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Janice, as well as his sister, Gayle Woolston.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren: Adriana (Josh) Dunlap of Lebanon, TN, Gianna Presta of Elizabethtown, KY, Adam Engleking of New York, New York, Alexandra Presta of Wilmore, KY, Jalyn Engleking of Paoli, IN, Luke Presta of Elizabethtown, KY and Loring Baker-Woolston of Los Angeles, CA. Tom is also survived by great-granddaughter, Sophia and a new baby due in November.
Visitation will be held Friday, July 7 from 2:00-7:00 pm at Dillman Scott Funeral Home, 226 W Campbell St, Paoli, IN. The funeral service will be held Saturday, July 8 at 11:00 at Syria Christian Church, 2444 N Co Rd 300 E, Orleans, IN 47452. With interment to follow at the Paoli Community Cemetery.
