Tamra Barnett

Tamra Jean Barnett (Tammy), 62, Paoli, IN passed away January 3, 2023 at Paoli Health and Living.  Tammy was born to Clyde and Jane Barnett on November 11, 1960.

Tammy was a 1979 graduate of Paoli High School where she participated in Choir and was manager of the volleyball team.  Tammy also was in several productions of Orange County Players. 

She loved music especially playing piano, guitar and singing.

Tammy competed in Special Olympics at the state and local level where she won many ribbons and medals.

Another passion of Tammy’s was taking pictures.  Extended family members often requested copies of her photos of family events.  She also enjoyed making picture albums.

As a Lifetime member of Weight Watchers, Tammy lost over 100 pounds.  She was greatly motivated by an award of $1000 by her Uncle Benny Owen.

Tammy was a member of the Prospect church of Christ. She was known for always having her Bible (or iPad) and notebook with her.  She was a compassionate caretaker for many family members even traveling to Florida and Tennessee to help out when it was needed.

Tammy was preceded in death by Maternal Grandparents Russell and Gusta Carwile and Paternal Grandparents Frank and Mary Barnett.

Survivors include Parents Clyde and Jane Barnett, Sister Pam Bond, Nephew Alex Bond of Paoli, IN. Niece Erin Bond and Great Nephew Simon Crain of West Lafayette, IN.  Several Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, January 7, 2023 at the Dillman Scott Funeral Home, 226 West Campbell Street, Paoli, IN.  Visitation will be held Saturday, January 7, 2023 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.  Interment to follow at Paoli Community Cemetery, Pastor Larry Mickler to officiate.
