Rosie S (Skaggs) Elliott

Rosie S Elliott, 97, of Dubois Indiana, formerly of Orleans, Indiana, passed away Thursday October 3, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in Jasper, Indiana. She was born July 23, 1922 in Blaine, Kentucky to John Skaggs & Ella Skaggs. She married Hollie Elliott on December 18, 1937 and he precedes her in death.

She was preceded in death by her husband Hollie Elliott; parents John & Ella Skaggs; sons Billy & Harvey Elliott; 3 brothers, Henry Skaggs, Leonard Skaggs, & Ruby Smith; 5 sisters, Rhoda Stevens, Sylvia Sluss, Laura Barton, Golda Eldridge and Genoa Murphy.

She attended Orleans Church of the Nazarene and Orleans Senior Citizens.

She worked in domestic work in many homes in the Paoli, Indiana area; Rosie also worked at the Ritz Restaurant and Hotel and was an avid gardener.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 P.M. Sunday October 6, 2019 at the Dillman-Scott Funeral Home.   Interment will follow in the Old Union Cemetery in Orleans, Indiana.  Visitation to be held Saturday October 5, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and from 9:00 A.M. until time of service on Sunday                                                                                     at the Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 West Campbell Street, Paoli, Indiana.
