He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Banks, Bryce, and Robert, an infant; sisters Roxie Minton, Leona Collins, Lucille Johnson, and Jean Ferguson.
Jude (J.D.) was a US Army Veteran.
He owned/operated his own business, Dailey Upholstery Shop, in Paoli for many years. Julius enjoyed watching the Chicago Cubs, fishing, boating, eating out, and playing tennis.
Best of all, in the summer of 2019, Jude accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior.
Survivors include:
Nephews:
Connie Minton, Kenny Minton, John Collins, Rusty Johnson, and Tim Ferguson
Nieces:
Karen Alvey, Brenda Nicholson, Nancy Tillett, Donna Atchley, Marsha Meehan, Rebecca Lorey, Peggy Toby, Sheila Allen, and Barbara Penn.
Friends, Jim & Norma Collins, Brian, and Cory, also survive Julius “Jude” Dailey.
Many thanks to the community members in town who gave Jude assistance with his power chair and to the caring staff at Paoli Health & Living.
Visitation and funeral services for Jude have been limited to private family only. Interment will be at Stampers Creek Cemetery. Due to the CDC mass gathering recommendation enforced by Indiana Governor, Eric Holcomb, no more than 10 people are allowed in a room at a time. We have made the difficult decision to have the funeral service and visitation be restricted to immediate family only. While this is not our ideal situation, we ask that you understand we are all new at this reaction to the pandemic situation at hand.
