James Edward Nelson, 95, of Paoli Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Springs Valley Meadows in French Lick, Indiana.  He was born in West Baden, Indiana on February 3, 1926 to Harry and Dolly Wininger Nelson. He married Patsy Cox (Taber) Nelson on March 11, 1983 and she survives.

James was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 3 sisters, and 1 grandson.

He was a member of the Valeen Christian Church. James retired from Crane in 1981.

James was a WWII Army Verteran.

Visitation will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, April 26, 2021 with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home located at 226 W. Campbell St Paoli, IN 47454. Interment will follow in the Ames Chapel Cemetery.
