George C. Witt Jr., 95, of Paoli Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at his residence. He was born on September 6, 1926, in Mt. Savage, Maryland to George Cecil Witt Sr. and Marie Komatz Witt. He married Mary Ellen Paul and she preceded him in death.

George was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Archie, Paul, and Pete, sister, Ellen, daughter, Deborah Witt, Charlesetta Sneed, and Patsy Denkhoff.

He was a member of the Catholic Faith, Paoli VFW, and American Legion in Louisville, Kentucky. George was a life member of Amvets and State President of Louisville/Indy. He was a life member PUFL American Legion, Kentucky. George retired from Armour Food Company, transportation department, after 35 years. He was a member of Teamsters Local 89 in Louisville, Kentucky.

George was a US Army WWII and Korean Veteran.

Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Friday, December 10, 2021, at the Dillman-Scott funeral home, located at 226 W Campbell Street Paoli, IN 47454. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home with Cremation to follow.
