Ethel Rae Rice

Ethel Rae Rice, 83, of Paoli, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, October 2, 2022, peacefully at her home. Rae was born on December 16, 1938, in Paoli to Clifford and Fern Riester Coulter. She graduated from Paoli High School in 1956 and received her accounting degree from Sullivan University in 1986. She married Richard Malcolm Moore “Jack” Rice II, and he precedes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Jeffrey Scott Rice, brothers, Phillip Conway Coulter, Ivan Frederick Coulter, Clifton Lee Coulter, and sister, Mary Ann McGiveney.

Rae was an accountant and office manager at FESCO in Louisville, KY. She retired from FESCO after many years of service. She was also a member of Grace Family Outreach Church in Park Hills, MO.

Rae was a fiery spirit who loved hard. If you were lucky enough to be loved by her, you felt that adoration in every hug. She was a lover of all things Elvis and Christmas. One of her favorite pastimes was decorating for the holidays with her grandchildren while dancing to Elvis’ Christmas Album. Rae was one-of-a-kind and will be dearly missed by all who loved her.

Son: Richard Malcom Moore “Rick” Rice III (Tammy Diane Rodman)                  Paoli, IN

Seven Grandchildren:

Grandsons: Jeffrey Scott Rice II, Joshua Scott Rice, and Joseph Scott Rice.

Granddaughters: Autumn Rae Rice, Shelby Diane Rice “Ray” (Kamen Ray), Jacqlyn Paige Brianna Rice, and Hazel Rayne Rice.

Two Great Granddogs: Sasha and Willie

Rae is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday October 8,2022 at the Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 W Campbell Street, Paoli, IN 47454. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the time of service on Saturday at the funeral home.
