Wilma Beatrice Boyer, 99, of Paoli, IN, passed away at 9:55 pm, April 9, 2015 Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY following a two-month illness. She was born January 26, 1916 in Paoli, IN to Noble and Audra (Magill) Riester. She married Russell Boyer on November 24, 1934 and he preceded her in death on May 30, 1989.
She was salutatorian of the Paoli High School class of 1933 and lived her entire life in Stampers Creek Township. She and her husband enjoyed working together on the family farm, where they raised eight children. She was an active member of the Mahan Valley Home Economics Extension Club from 1950 until her death. She volunteered each spring and fall at the historic Lynd School House soup supper. Her passion for reading continued throughout her life, and she loved the large family gatherings held at her home. She enjoyed a high quality of life, remaining active and involved in her family’s activities all her 99 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Melvin, grandson Colby (in infancy) and two sisters, Cleo Patton and Frances Dean.

Also surviving Wilma are 15 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, 11 great great grandchildren, 5 nieces and 1 nephew.
Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Monday, April 13, 2015 and from 9 AM until the time of the service at 1 PM Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at the Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 W Campbell Street, Paoli, IN 47454. Pastor Clifton Coulter will officiate the services, with interment to follow at the Stampers Creek Cemetery, Paoli, IN
