Vida L Chestnut

Vida L Chestnut, 80, of Paoli, IN entered into eternal sleep December 24, 2023 in her home with devoted family by her bedside.  She was born in Clark County, IN on 1 June 1943 and raised in rural Orange County by her parents Daniel and Ellen Miller Bostock.

Vida attended Paoli Community Schools and graduated with the class of 1961.

on 23 February 1985 Vida married William “Bill” Chestnut and he survives.

Vida was employed with Kimball Electronics, in French Lick until their closing, then worked as a receptionist with the Bloomington Hospital of Orange County until her retirement.

Vida was a member of the Dirt Diggers Garden Club, enjoyed working with her flowers, spending time with family and friends, reading and doing her magic in the kitchen. Vida was of the Christian faith and baptized in the Central Baptist Church.

Also surviving Vida are Five grandchildren, Seven great grandchildren, Plus many nieces and nephews.

Cremation was chosen with a Celebration of Life service to be held at 4:00 PM Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Dillman Scott Funeral Home, 226 West Campbell Street, Paoli, IN.  Visitation will be held Saturday, December 30, 2023 also at the funeral home from1:00 PM until the time of service at 4:00 PM.
