Sheilda Jean Byers 65 years of age of Paoli passed away Saturday, December 03, 2011 at IU Health Paoli Hospital. She was born September 6, 1946 in Washington, Indiana to Samuel and Margaret Combs. She was a member of the Mt. Zion Wesleyan Church and had worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Martin County Nursing Home in Loogootee. She is preceded in death by her parents, 7 brothers and 3 sisters.

Survivors include: Husband: David Dean Byers of Paoli

Sons: William Holt of Paoli, Richard Hoffman of Martin County, Chad Erwin of Jasper, Dean Holt of Loogootee and Raymond Sander of Indianapolis.

Daughter: Rhonda Holt of French Lick

Brothers: William Combs, Clint Combs, Ray Combs and Burle Jones.

Sisters: Edda Lou Smith, Mary Bridges, Sharon Stewart and Josephine Szabo

26 Grandchildren 1 Great Grandchild

Graveside Services will be held 1 PM Thursday, December 8, 2011 at the Emmons Ridge Cemetery in Hillham. Pastor Johnny Simmons will officiate.

Visitation will be held from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM on Thursday at the Wellman Funeral Home 226 W. Campbell St in Paoli. Online condolences can be made at wellmanfh.com
