Sarah Mintie Powers Andis, 75 years of age of Paoli, passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany. She was born December 30, 1935 in Orange County, Indiana to Herman and Mary Powers. Sarah was married to Dale Andis on August 22, 1954. She was a graduate of Paoli High School, member of the Paoli First Baptist Church and the Paoli Women’s Club. Sarah is preceded in death by her parents, Daughter; Pamela Bowles, Son; Dale Herman Baxter, Brother; Jasper Powers. Sister; Dorothy Beyke, Granddaughters; Victoria and Autumn Smith.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years Dale Andis
Son: Robert Dale Andis of Paoli.
Daughters: Patricia Threet of Dale, IN
Lometa Paugh of Outer Banks, NC
Brothers: Larry Powers of Salem, IN
Jerry Powers of Scottsburg, IN
16 Grandchildren 23 Great Grandchildren
Funeral Services will be held 1 PM Friday, October 28, 2011 at the Wellman Funeral Home, 226 W. Campbell St. in Paoli with burial to follow in Paoli Community Cemetery. Pastor Ron McClintock will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 PM on Thursday and after 10 AM on Friday at the funeral home. Online Condolences can be made at wellmanfh.com
