Richard G Hornback

January 16, 1926 — July 26, 2012

Richard G. Hornback,  age  86  of Paoli, In was called home to be with our Lord and Savior on July 26, 2012.  He was born  on January 16, 1926, in French Lick, Indiana  to Jacob  Edward Hornback and Lily White-Hornback.  Richard was preceded  in death  by his parents,  his wife of 58 years, Grace Busick-Hornback;   brothers  Randall,  Henry and Ray  Hornback,  half brother George ”Mac”  McCracken: and his daughter, Paula Hornback  Edler.   2 stepdaughters Cheryl Lindley and Jody Heinz.

He was a member of Paoli Friends Meeting and St. Pauls United Methodist Church of Tucson, AZ. Richard served his country for 27 years rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army. He was a veteran of World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam Nam War.

He is survived by his wife Mabel Fultz Hornback, of Paoli.  They were married New Year’s Eve in 2004.  They were inseparable until he was called to his eternal home.

Also surviving are numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM, August 18 th at Paoli Friends Meeting House.  Graveside services to follow at Paoli Community Cemetery.   Dillman-Scott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
