Opal Ferrell

Dillman-Scott Opal M Ferrell 91, of Paoli, IN passed away September 18, 2014 at Floyd Memorial Hospital New Albany. She was born August 8, 1923  in Washington County IN to John and Emma Walls Cook.  She attended school in the Beech grove area and was a member of the Paoli First Baptist Church. Opal was a homemaker and as a young woman worked at Travelers in Orleans , IN she also worked at cleaning various offices around Paoli. She married Bruce Walton and to this union was born 3 sons Bobby, Steve, and Eddie. She was then married to Arthur Tuell and had 4 children Susie, Glenda, Tim and Mary. After the death of Arthur she married Donald Ferrell. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Timothy Alan Tuell, husbands Arthur Glenn Tuell and Donald Ferrell.  Also her brothers Elmer Cook, George Cook, Raymond Cook, Charles “Bud” Cook, Donald Cook, Clifford Cook and Arnold Cook.   Two sisters Mary Slayton and Thelma Thorlton also preceded her in death. Surviving are 3 sons:                        Charles Robert Walton Roger Steven Walton Edward Laverne Walton 3 daughters:               Susan Arlene Shannon Glenda Joyce Wininger Mary Ann Crowder 1 sister:                         Helen Dennis Also surviving are 9 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, September 22, 2014 at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home.  Mike Williams  officiating  and burial to follow at Paoli Community Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm Sunday, September 21 at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home and from 9:00 am Monday until the time of service at 1:00 pm.
