Norman Ray Crowder, 80, of Paoli, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2014, at his residence. He was born June 8, 1934 in Hillham, Indiana to Zenes and Sophia Wininger Crowder. He married Brenda L Slayton on April 11, 1970. She preceded him death on December 15, 2008. Norman was a business man. He owned and operated Crowder's Riverside Sales and Casa Del Norman Trailer Park in Paoli, IN. In his earlier years he worked in Louisville and Paoli Chair Company. He worked for Harold Weaver and Bobby Walton car dealerships. He also owned and operated Hilltop Truck Stop/Restaurant on 150 East highway and a grocery store in Hardinsburg, IN. He attended Millersburg Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father Zenes Crowder and brothers Kenneth and Noral Dean Crowder.

Visitation will be Friday, January 2, 2015 from 4PM - 8PM and from 9 AM until the time of service on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 W Campbell St, Paoli, IN. The funeral will be held 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Brother Barry Laird officiating. Interment will follow at Paoli Community Cemetery.
