In Loving Memory of Nancy Spencer

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, Nancy Spencer, who passed away peacefully on April 14, 2025, at the age of 78.

Born on April 10, 1947.  Nancy was preceded in death by her loving parents, John Henry Moore and Dorothy Lee Kimmel, and cherished siblings.  She carried their memory with her always and often spoke of the bond they shared.

A woman of warmth. Grace, and quiet strength, Nancy found joy in the simple and meaningful things in life.  She was an avid reader, a master of puzzles, and had a remarkable talent for crocheting and quilting – hobbies that she poured her heart into and brought comfort and beauty to those around her.

She loved to travel, especially when surrounded by her family, creating treasured memories in each new place.  Her happiest moments were those spent with her loved ones – whether on an adventure or simply gathered around the table sharing stories and laughter.

Above all, Nancy was most proud of her role as “Nanaw”.  She leaves behind 12 adoring grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her endless pride and joy.  Her legacy lives on in their hearts and in the values she lovingly passed down – kindness, patience, creativity, and unconditional love.

She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the honor of knowing her.

Nancy was a true animal lover and in lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to either Springs Valley Pet Services or Orange County Humane Society in her memory.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 W. Campbell St. Paoli IN, 47454.  Cremation to follow.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM on Thursday, April 24, 2025, at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home. Visitation will also be from 9:00 AM until the time of the service on Friday.
