Nancy Jane “Janie” Dilley, 96, Paoli, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at Paoli Health and Living, Paoli, IN.  She was born September 5, 1926 to Ralph and Ethel Love Strother in Paoli, IN.

Janie was a graduate of the Paoli High School class of 1945 and a member of the Paoli First Baptist Church.  She retired from the Shoe Factory, Paoli, IN.  Janie was an avid reader, enjoyed visits from her family and friends, and had so many wonderful adventures with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her companion of 36 years, Charlie Limeberry, grandson Billy Gilley, granddaughter Tammy Willoughey, sisters Hazel Hackney, Edith Nice, Ruth Jones, and Zelma Smith, brothers Norman Kellams and Billy Strother.

Nina “Cookie” Oakley (Steve)  Paoli, IN

Sons:  David Dilley (Annie)       Wyndotte, OK

Surviving Janie are eight grandchildren:  Christy Gilley-Romo, Mashelle Flankey, Matt Chesnut, Stephanie Adams, Traci Briggs, Shawna Osborne, Sonya Parks, and Ryan Livingston.  Thirteen great grandchildren and 2 Great-Great Grandchildren also survive Janie Dilley.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at the Dillman Scott Funeral Home, 226 West Campbell St, Paoli IN.  Visitation will be held from 10:00-2:00 PM also on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at the funeral home.
