Melissa Lee Duncan passed away peacefully on Monday, March 31, 2025.  She was born on August 20, 1970, in Kankakee, Illinois.  She was the beloved daughter of Larry S. Forrest and Brenda S. Forrest (Bell).

She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Caleigh C. Jones (Lewis), and her husband, Dalton Jones; her longtime partner, Dudley McAdams; her brother, Jay Forrest, and his wife, Tammy, along with their children, Tiffany and Kyle.  Melissa also leaves behind her most devoted and cherished companion, her beloved dog, Indy Anna.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her maternal and paternal grandparents and her dear cousin, Delania.

Melissa found comfort in her faith and attended Lick Creek Friends Fellowship Church when her health allowed.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made in Melissa’s memory to Orange County Humane Society, reflecting her deep love for animals.

Melissa’s kindness, love, and unwavering spirit will be forever cherished by those who knew and loved her.

Cremation was chosen with a Memorial Service honoring her life to be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 W. Campbell St. Paoli, IN.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 2:00 PM.
