Mary Lou (Drake) Tarr

Mary Lou Tarr, 82, of Paoli, passed away peacefully at home on November 16, 2024. She was born February 18, 1942, in Gary, IN, to Aaron and Minnie Young Drake.  She was married to Curtis Brunnworth for 27 years.  She married James Tarr on May 16, 1998, and he survives.  She was preceded by her parents, Brothers: Robert and Lloyd Drake, and sister, Opal Jean Hagan.

She was a member of the Paoli VFW-8302 Ladies Auxiliary, Paoli Moose Lodge-2530, and the Mitchell American Legion-250.

Mary was an extremely hard worker.  In the past she worked at Westen Electric in Indianapolis manufacturing telephones.  Later, she worked at Kimball International for several years, eventually retiring from there.  Mary was also a very tough lady that could do anything.  She still lived in the home that she and James built themselves.  Mary was an exceptional person and will be dearly missed by those who love her.

Cremation was chosen with a Memorial Service to be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 W. Campbell St. Paoli, IN.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM Monday, November 25, 2024, at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 W. Campbell St. Paoli, IN.
