Mabel G King

Mabel G King, 98 passed away 5:35 am, June 8, 2014 at IU Health Paoli Hospital, Paoli, IN .  She was born in Youngs Creek, IN on July 15, 1915, to the late Calvin and Nora Apple Grimes.  She married Alvis Edwin King and he precedes. She was preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Brothers Woodrow, Hubert, Clifford and Arthur. Sisters Dorothy and Linda. Grandson Clinton King. And a Grandaughter Joleca Gofourth She worked at the New Albany Powder Bag Plant during WW2 and at Travelers in Orleans, IN for 27 years. She was a member of the Bedford Church of Christ. Surviving are: 1 son:            Ferrell King & Wife Mary           Paoli, IN 1 daughter:    Mary Walker                       Columbus, IN Also surviving Mabel are 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. 1 Great-Great Grandchild. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at the Dillman-Scott Funeral Home. 226 west Campbell street Paoli, IN with Interment to follow at the Apples Chapel Cemetery.  Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4-8 PM, Tuesday, June 10, 2014. And 9 AM until service time Wednesday.
