Mabel Miniard Birkla

Mabel Miniard Birkla, 89, Paoli, IN passed away Friday, May 20, 2023, at IU Health Paoli Hospital.  She was born in Delph, KY on February 13, 1934 to Delno Miniard and Mamie Gross Miniard.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John H Birkla, a daughter Teresa Darlene Rainbolt, and brothers Vernon Gross Miniard and George Miniard,

Mabel and her husband John ran the Birkla Bag Company in Cementville, IN. She also worked as a caregiver for the elderly and cleaned houses.

She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

Also surviving Mabel are two grandchildren:  Daniel Deacon Allen, Milltown, IN and Coty Darlene Birkla, Weldon, IL and five great grandchildren:  Korbin, Londyn, Hayden, Delilah, and Elliana.

Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, May 25, 2023 at Stampers Creek Cemetery, Paoli, IN.
