Lois "Jeanne" Stalcup

Lois “Jeanne” Mills Stalcup, 97, of Paoli, passed on May 4 at Paoli Health and Living Community in Paoli.  She was born July 19, 1926 in French Lick, IN to Wilmer Butler and Laura Bledsoe Butler, both of whom preceded her.  She married Darrel Mills March 29, 1948 and he preceded her February 9, 1968.  She re-married April 7, 1979 to Wayne Stalcup, and he also preceded her.  Jeanne was also preceded by 7 of her siblings and her daughter, Vicki Jean Pluris.

Jeanne attended church at Sulphur Creek Bible Church in French Lick, IN and was also an Auxiliary Member of the American Legion Post # 76.

Jeanne attended West Baden High School and was a member of the Class of 1945.

Jeanne was a Homemaker in her later years but had been formerly employed at the French Lick Springs Hotel, Valley Shoe Store, and The Valley Wash House Laundromat.

Jeanne enjoyed watching IU Basketball and was also a fan of the Indianapolis Colts.

She loved spending time with her family.

What she cherished the most was the time she spent with her Best-Friend and Daughter, Vicki Jean Pluris.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 W Campbell Street, Paoli, IN 47454.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM on Thursday, May 9, 2024 at the funeral home.

Interment to follow at Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in French Lick, IN.
