Leslie Mccracken Sammut

Leslie McCracken Sammut, 66 of Paoli, IN passed away February 5th, 2025, surrounded by her family at Memorial Hospital and Health Care, Jasper, IN.

Leslie was born in Salem, Indiana, on December 13, 1958, to Jack Ray and Lois Marie Jones Harper.

She was a PHS alumni, Class of 1977.

Leslie proudly served in the US Army for 6 years where she honed her culinary skill, often speaking fondly of her travels abroad to Germany, France and Italy; she then went on to work for Kimball Electronics from where she retired.

Leslie was a gifted artist with a creative spirit. She loved sharing her ingenuity and imagination with everyone, having the ability to turn ordinary into extraordinary.

Leslie was an exceptional cook, frequently whipping up dishes to share with her loved ones. She was a skilled gardener and enjoyed time with nature, camping and fishing. She will forever be remembered for her humor, whether it be a joke, a story, or sharing an embarrassing childhood photo or memory for your birthday. Everything she did, she did with love.

Everyone that knows Leslie knows that she was resolute in love for her family. Although we mourn our loss, we know she is celebrating being reunited with those she loved so fiercely.

Leslie is survived by:

Mother, Lois Marie Harper, Paoli

Granddaughters: Rayli Shyann and Lillian Grace Hall, Paoli

Great Grandchildren: Ramsey, Ralphie, Eliza and Riley, Orleans

Neice: Jaclynn (Chris) Thacker and children, Paoli

Cremation was chosen. Family to hold a celebration of life at a later date to be announced.
