Katherine Virginia (Cornwell) Johnson

Dillman-Scott Funeral Home Katherine Virginia Johnson, 96, of Paoli passed away Friday April 13, 2018 at Bliss Place in Bedford, Indiana.   She was born on May 28, 1921 in Paoli, Indiana to Heber Floyd Cornwell and Stella Reed Cornwell.  She married Clifford Hugh Johnson on March 26, 1961 and he passed away on October 5, 2000. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Clifford, two brothers, Melvin Cornwell and Reed Cornwell, one sister Rosemary Hendricks. She was an office manager for Kraft Foods in Paoli, Indiana until they closed the plant in 1967. She was a member of Paoli Friends Meeting in Paoli, Indiana. She enjoyed flowers, yard work and her family. Survivors include: 1-Sister-in-Law: Erma Cornwell, Paoli, IN 2-Nephews: Terry Cornwell, Paoli, IN Greg Cornwell, Paoli, IN 5-Nieces: Melva Cooper, Spencer, IN Jamie Eisele, Hardinsburg, IN Susan Fleming, Lanesville, IN Kay Leonard, Seymore, IN Shawn Michenor, Hope, IN “Auntie K” as she was known to them were all very special to her. Also surviving Katherine Virginia Johnson are several great-nieces and great-nephews. The family wishes to thank the staff at Bliss Place, especially the Executive Director Missy McNeelan. Graveside Services will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday April 17, 2018 at the Stampers Creek Cemetery.    Interment will follow in the Stampers Creek Cemetery.
