Joy Roberts

Dillman-Scott Joy Justine Cook Roberts, 63, of Lafayette died January 2, 2014 at her home.  She was born March 9, 1950 in Paoli, IN to Albert and Eva Cook.  She married Michael G Roberts on June 19, 1971 and he survives. She graduated from Paoli High School and studied at Indiana State University. She worked in Lafayette for 40 years as a secretary, primarily at Purdue National Bank’s Trust Department and Caterpillar.  She worked in HR, Metallurgy lab and Marine Certification Departments, retiring from there in 2011 after 24 years, as a Marine Certification Specialist. Joy is fondly remembered by her family and friends for her smile, kind words and sense of humor.  She enjoyed working around the home, being a grandmother and vacationing in Jackson Hole, Houston, Gatlinburg and Indiana’s State parks with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Kyle Morgan Roberts, brothers James and John and sister Hope Cook Harkness. Services will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, January 11, 2014 at the Dillman-Scott Funeral Home with her husband, Michael officiating.  Burial will follow at Stampers Creek Cemetery.   Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 pm Friday, January 10, 2014 the funeral home.
