Jewell Collins

Jewell Collins, 74, Paoli, Indiana who Passed February 24, 2024 at Springs Valley Meadows in French Lick, IN. Born May 14, 1949, in Paoli IN.  She was the daughter of Bill and Dora Collins.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents and a son, Daniel Campbell of St. Louis, MO.

Jewell worked for Stone Belt Services for over 20 years.

She was a member of Souls Harbor Christian Church in Paoli, IN.

The people who are close to Jewell would describe her as an extremely fun person who loved life and brought joy to everyone around her.

Jewell was into everything outdoors.  She loved horses, swimming, and camping with the Patoka Lake area being her favorite camping spot.  She was also a huge fan of fishing.  She absolutely loved to fish.  Her love of fishing started at a young age with her father taking her fishing when she was just a little girl.  Some might even say that she was fishing before she could even walk.

Another hobby that Jewell really enjoyed was making handmade jewelry.  She loved making jewelry and even eventually made her own personal jewelry shop in a mini log cabin building at their property.

She was a very loving, and devoted mother to her two sons Daniel and Josh Campbell.

Jewell was also very passionate about animals, with dogs being her favorite.  They even had a farm with horses, cattle, and sheep at one time.

Memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 W Campbell Street, Paoli, IN 47454.  Visitation to be held Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM also at the funeral home.

In Lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate any donations be made to the Orange County Humane Society.
