James E. Grimes

James E. Grimes, 74, of Paoli, IN passed away on August 31, 2026, at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, IN. He was born June 30, 1952, in Paoli, Indiana to Edward E. and Dorothy June Redenbaugh Grimes, both of whom preceded him in death. James married Lynn Allen on October 27, 2012, and she survives.

James was a Journeyman Lineman at REMC for 40 years, retiring in 2009.

After retiring, he got to enjoy 17 years of motorcycle-riding, fishing, four-wheeling, and spending time with his family.

James was a member of the Paoli Masonic Lodge #119 F&AM and the Paoli High School Class of 1970.

Several Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren also survive James.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home. (226 W. Campbell St. Paoli, IN 47454)

Masonic Service will take place at 6:00 PM.

Cremation to follow with interment at the Paoli Community Cemetery at a later date.
