James A. Blanton, 56 of Paoli, Indiana passed away Monday, August 13, 2018 at his home.  He was born on August 31, 1961 in Paoli, Indiana to Donald Blanton and Janice Nantz Blanton.  He married Patty Underwood Blanton on December 24, 1999.

He was preceded by his parents, one brother Brian Blanton and one daughter Casey Renae Blanton.

He was a Union Carpenter and worked on the farm with his dad, he took a lot of pride in his work.

He enjoyed motorcycles, drag racing, music and his grandchildren.

He was a member Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, a life time member of the Ft. Branch VFW #27 and a member of the carpenters local #224 in Evansville, Indiana.

Funeral Services will be 5:00 PM, Sunday, August 19, 2018 at the Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 West Campbell Street, Paoli, Indiana.   Cremation to follow.    Visitation to be held from 1:00 PM Sunday August 19, 2018 until the time of service at the funeral home.
