Irvin Leroy McBride Sr. Obituary Irvin Leroy McBride Sr. passed away January 19, 2017, at 1:40 am. Irvin was born February 7th 1923 in Gibson City Illinois, to Roy and Hattie Williams McBride. He was preceded in death by his parents and his two sisters Eva Condra, and Ruby Clevenger and six brothers Clyde, Clifford, David, Harvey, Alber  and Alonzo. Surviving Irvin is one sister, Sudie Tolbert of Millersburg. The family lived on a farm in Orange County, where he went to school at Paoli High School. He joined the C.C.C at the age of 17.  Irvin retired from G.M. in Bedford in 1985. Irvin married his wife Mary in 1947 by Wm.C. Hancock. He and his wife raised 3 children, Barbara Campbell (Eddie) of French Lick, Irvin Jr. (Darlene) of Paoli, and Danny Ray (Jenny) of Michigan City, Indiana. Irvin loved his family, children, grandchildren (Travis, Toby, Catherine, and Sean), and great grandchildren (Caitlin, Mikayla, Connor, Emma, Clara, Colton, and Emilija). He also loved being outdoors with the wildlife, which included watching and feeding birds, squirrels, and ducks along the creek, until ill health limited it. He was a member and Deacon at The First Baptist Church of Paoli, Indiana. Irvin was also a past member of Kiwanis of Paoli. Visitation will be held at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home from 4-8, Sunday January 22nd. On Monday January 23rd, visitation will be held from 9-11, at The Paoli First Baptist Church with the funeral services following. Interment to follow Paoli Community Cemetery, Paoli, IN.
