Helen Mary Gooch

Dillman-Scott Funeral Home Helen Mary Gooch, 83, of Paoli passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Paoli Health and Living.  She was born on February 13, 1935 in Port Huron Michigan to Carl Willis and Margaret Kerr Willis.  She married Forest “Wendell” Gooch on June 6, 1956 and he passed away in March 21, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wendall, one grandson Peter Grider, one sister Margaret Springgate. She attended and graduated from Missouri State. She owned and operated the Paoli News Republican along with her husband.   She worked several years with the First Chance Center and she started a Headstart in Chicago, Illinois and worked there for two years. She attended the Paoli Mennonite Church and was a member of the Kappa Gamma Gamma. Survivors include: 2-Sons: Lyndell Gooch, Louisville, KY Wendell Gooch, Chicago, IL 2-Daughters: Deborah Howard, Conroe, TX Charmian “Kriss” Simmerman, Mitchell, IN Also surviving Helen Mary Gooch, are four grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family has chosen cremation with a private interment in the Wright City Cemetery in Wright City, Missouri. Arrangements made by Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 W.
