Helen Elizabeth Charles

Helen Elizabeth Charles, 85, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014 at her residence in Paoli, IN She was born September 1, 1929 to Noble Minton and Roxie Dailey Minton in Paoli, IN.  She married Robert V Charles May 31, 1946 and he preceded her in death May 1, 1999.  She was a member of the Paoli First Baptist Church. She met her husband Robert when Helen and her aunt were working at Andy’s Restaurant.  Her aunt told her, “He hasn’t taken his eyes off of you since he walked in.”   His eyes stayed on Helen for the next 53 years.  He told her daily how much he loved her and how very beautiful she was. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert, her parents, brothers Phillip, Johnnie Paul, Billy and Noble Dale Minton and sister Nina Strother. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 PM  Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at The Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 W Campbell St, Paoli, IN.  The funeral will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday December 4, 2014. at the funeral home. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at the Paoli Community Cemetery.
