George Willis Baker

George Baker, 76, of Salem, IN passed away on August 11, 2026, at U of L Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born in Paoli, Indiana, on February 28,1950, son of the late Rufus & Georgia Willis Baker.

George was also preceded in death by his:

Brothers: Clint, John, and Tom Baker

Sister: Martha Jackson

George was a 1969 graduate of Paoli High School.

He continued his education as a diesel mechanic attending NADC, in Nashville, Tennessee.

He was a retired farmer and co-owner of Baker Bros Grain. George also worked as an owner/operator over the road trucker for Denny Transport in Jeffersonville, IN, and later worked for Gerkin Farms located in Orleans.

George was a dedicated believer of Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior. He looked forward to this moment in time, when he and his Savior would meet face to face and he would be in Jesus’s loving arms.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Dillman Scott Funeral Home. (226 West Campbell Street, Paoli, IN 47454)

Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Saturday, August 15, 2026, also at Dillman Scott Funeral Home.

Interment will follow Funeral service at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Orleans, Indiana.
