Elizabeth Moore Stout, 93, Memphis TN, passed away peacefully on the morning of October 22, 2015, after celebrating her 93rd birthday on October 6, 2015. She was born October 6, 1922 in Richmond, IN to Perry and Netta Moore.
She received her BA from Earlham College where she met her future husband. John T. Stout of Paoli, IN. They married February 4, 1945. After the war, she worked in Boston, Massachusetts while John attended Harvard Business School. After graduation they lived in Ark City, Kansas; Higginsville, Missouri; Richmond, Virginia; then in 1950 settled in Memphis, TN.
Elizabeth and John traveled all 50 states, enjoyed Australia, New Zealand, the Mediterranean, South Islands, and Canada. Elizabeth was the lifeblood of any family gathering. She could hold the attention of all when telling a story. She was a professional actress both on stage and off. She had a quick wit and was happy to speak her mind. She enjoyed tennis, reading, needlework, volunteering, teaching Sunday school, and all forms of crafting.
Elizabeth served as a special role model to her children and grandchildren who loved and respected her and the example she and her husband John set for them.
Elizabeth was known affectionately as Gram EZ to her family. She is survived by her adoring husband of 70 years, John T. Stout; three children and their spouses.

1-brother:
Bob Moore and Bob’s wife and Elizabeth’s lifelong friend Ann Moore.
Also surviving Elizabeth Moore Stout are her nine grandchildren and their spouses and fiancés:
Jack and Kennedy Stout, Peter Stout, Megan Stout, William Stout and fiancé Ashley Elder, Carol O. Stout, Sarah Taylor Stout, Lauren Adams and fiancé James Dale, Murry and Louise Adams, and Lou Adams.
Interment will be Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 3:30 P.M. at the Paoli Community Cemetery, Paoli, IN. Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 West Campbell Street, Paoli, IN 47454. Is in charge of the arrangements.
