Donald B Stands

Donald B Stands, 82, of Paoli, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.  He was born on December 20, 1939 in Beloit, KS to Blaine S and Ardith Moulder Stands.

He married Karen J Gilliatt on October 21,1967 and she survives him.

He was preceded in death by his Parents, a brother Arden Wayne Stands, and sister Janette Mckee

Don worked as a Meat Cutter in Paoli for many years first at the former Riggles IGA, then at Hootens Park & Shop. He and his wife Karen owned and operated Stands Photography capturing many meaningful life events for local families.

Don was a member of the Paoli Friends Meeting, and a member of the Paoli Jay Cee’s.

Don enjoyed Paoli Rams Basketball, woodworking collecting antique glassware, and spending time with his family and friends.

A United States Navy Veteran.

2 Great- Grandchildren Kamryn and Adalyn Key. Several nieces & nephews also survive Donald B Stands.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Monday, December 5, 2022, at Dillman Scott Funeral Home, 226 West Campbell Street, Paoli, IN.  Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM, on Sunday December,4 and from 9 AM until the time-of-service monday at the funeral home.

Interment to follow at the Paoli Community Cemetery.

Pastor Mark Tope to officiate.
