Daniel I Fennessey, 79, Hardinsburg, IN, passed away December 9, 2023, in Bloomington, IN.

He was born in Washington, Missouri April 1, 1944 to Oscar and Evelyn Sands Fennessey.

He married Janet Crandall June 27, 1970 and she survives.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, daughters Jody Ann Wear and Erin Kelly Fennessey, brothers Jim and Marvin Fennessey, and sisters Bessie Burger, Mary Oberhaus, and Bonnie Calvin.

He was in the US Air Force and a Vietnam Veteran.

He worked for Caterpillar for thirty years, where he then retired.

Daniel was a member of the Paoli Central Baptist Church.

He was an avid lover of music and enjoyed writing songs.

Services will be held at the Dillman Scott Funeral Home, 226 West Campbell Street, Paoli, IN on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at 1:00 PM Interment to follow at the Stampers Creek Cemetery.  Visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.
