Cora L. Halbert 82 years of Batesville, Indiana formerly of Paoli passed away Sunday, February 12, 2012 in Largo, Florida. She was born February 16, 1929 in Millerstown, Kentucky to Artle and Hattie Perkins. Cora retired from the Orange County Department of Public Welfare. She was a current member of St. Charles Catholic Church in Milan, a retired honorary member of the Psi Iota Xi. She was preceded in death by her husband; John Halbert, parents, brothers; Elmo Perkins, Randall Perkins and Dale Perkins. Sister: Anna Lee Briscoe

Daughter: Lisa (Glen Barker) Halbert of Batesville, Indiana
Son: Robe rt Halbert of Sullivan, Indiana
Brothers: George (Ella Mae) Perkins of Anderson, Indiana
Jerry (Margaret) Perkins of Paoli
Sister: Jane (Larry) Guy of South Bend, Indiana
Grandson: Bryce Halbert of Sullivan, Indiana
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 1:30 PM Saturday, February 18, 2012 at Christ the King Catholic Church in Paoli with burial to follow in Paoli Community Cemetery. Father Joe Moriarty will officiate assisted by Brother Patrick Mary Briscoe.
Visitation will be held from 11 AM – 1 PM Saturday, with a rosary service to be held at 1 PM at the Wellman Funeral Home, 226 W. Campbell St in Paoli. Online condolences can be made at wellmanfh.com. In Lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to The Ripley County Community Foundation where a scholarship fund will be named in her honor or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
