Caroll Wayne Houchin, 77, of Loogootee, Indiana formerly of Washington Indiana passed away Tuesday June 25, 2019 at Eastgate Nursing in Washington, Indiana.   He was born on November 28, 1941 in Pike County Indiana to Robert Houchin and Daphne Mae DeJarnett Houchin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers Burl Houchin, Authur Lee Houchin,  Frank Houchin, Bryce Houchin, Robert “Jim Bob” Houchin, five sisters, Bonnie Whitney, Maxine Riley, Imojean Matthews, Alice “Judy” Mason, and Rosemary “Susie” Smith, two sibling infants  Grace and Theresa, one son Herman Wayne, one daughter Tonya Renae.

He was a retired truck driver.

He enjoyed racing cars.

Survivors include:

Angela Daley,                                     Sarnia, Ontario Canada

Carol Bateman,                                 Washington, Indiana

Also surviving Caroll Wayne Houchin is seven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Celebration of Life will be at 1:00 P.M. Saturday July 13, 2019, at the Pride’s Creek Park Shelter House #2 Petersburg, Indiana.  Cremation was chosen by the family with a private burier at a later date.
