Betty L Cadle

Betty Cadle, 85 formerly of Paoli, IN passed away Saturday, May 16, 2015 in Peoria, IL. She was born January 31, 1930 to Wesley C. and Mamie Weeks Webster in Paoli, Indiana. Betty married Charles Wayne Cadle in 1952 and he passed away on January 6, 1997.  She was preceded in death by both of her parents and also her niece Sharon Ann Kail. Surviving family members are daughter Lynn Ann Rutherford (husband Scott) of Peoria, IL with whom Betty made her home the past 14 years experiencing family unity, travel and adventure never expected. Her brother Michael Webster (wife Peggy) who always made her smile of Urbana, IL, sister Sherrell Lee Adams (husband Ken) of Louisville, KY, grandchildren Korey Rutherford of Dunlap, IL and Krystyn Gunther (husband Jake) of Washington, IL and her special adopted grandson and his family in Monterrey, Mexico Epifanio Mejia (wife Juany) and children Adrian, Nayeli & Karen, and Epi's mother/father-in-law Tonita & Salvador.  Epi never failed to call Señora Betty on her birthday and they last spoke on Mother's Day this year. Betty graduated from the Paoli High School class of 1948. Betty received her Registered Nursing degree (RN) from Norton Memorial Infirmary's graduating class of September 1951 in Louisville, Ky and went on to have an esteemed 41 year nursing career first for the American Red Cross and then at the Washington County Memorial Hospital OB and nursery ward in Salem, IN.  During her time at the Salem hospital, Betty met Judy Pendleton who became her most dearest friend and they shared a sister like bond beyond retirement and during Betty's last hours. Betty and Lynn shared a very special bond and enjoyed the simple things knowing that love & time are the most special blessings that are often overlooked in life. Betty's grandson put a twinkle in her eye. Korey was always looking out for Betty and she had a special place in her heart reserved only for him. Betty was a loving, humble and kind person with a witty sense of humor who always found the positives and strengths in others.  Betty was a nurturing and caring person who put others ahead of herself her entire life.  She was constantly ready for new adventures and even lived for seven years in Monterrey, Mexico. Betty was a master of crossword puzzles and avid worker of word search puzzles.  She also dearly enjoyed to read.  Up until the last couple of years, Betty had a personal trainer and was dedicated to going to the gym twice a week for strength and flexibility training. Services for Betty will be Thursday, May 21, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Dillman Scott Funeral Home in Paoli with visitation beginning at 11:00 am. Bishop Walter A. Jones ll will be officiating Betty's celebration of life.  Burial will be at the beautiful and serene Stampers Creek Cemetery east of Paoli.
