Beryl D Smelser

Beryl Dale Smelser, 79, Paoli, passed away Monday, February 2, 2015 at Rolling Hills Nursing Home in New Albany.  He was born April 1, 1935 in Orange County, IN to Kenneth and Mildred Salmon Smelser.  He married Charlotte Kirby on May 30, 1958 and she survives.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Frankie Smelser, and grandson Dayton Beryl Edwards. He was a member of the Cooks Chapel Church.  He retired from Paoli Furniture and formerly owned and operated Smelser Sawmill in Corydon, IN.  He was also a veteran of the US Army National Guard. Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the Dillman-Scott Funeral Home 226 West Campbell Street Paoli, IN.   Visitation to be held Wednesday, February 4, 2015 from 4:00-8:00 and from 9:00 until the time of  service at the funeral home on Thursday.  Interment will follow at Paoli Community Cemetery.
