Barbara Jean (Lane) Hall

Barbara Jean (Lane) Hall, 93, of Paoli, IN, passed away at St. Charles Health Campus on December 13, 2024, leaving a void her family cannot fill.

She was born in Paoli, IN on March 3, 1931, to Willis and Mabel (Pluris) Lane.

Barbara was a devoted mother to three children, Glenda (Fred) Sullivan, Stanley (Debbie) Hall, Annette (Steve) Wigand; seven grandchildren, Megan (Dave Shrom) Sullivan, Michele (Brian) Henderson, Evan (Tanya) Hall, Erin (Neil) Rutan, Ethan (Katrina Hamilton-Smith) Hall, Brandon (Alissa) Wigand, Bailey (Dominick) Tedeschi; Thirteen great grandchildren. She is also survived by a brother, Russell (Joann) Lane.

Barbara took special joy in her family and many friends. She enjoyed gardening, farming, sewing, and traveling. She worked in the Orange County Treasurer’s Office many years and held the elected office of Orange County Treasurer for eight years. Barbara was a member of the Beach Grove Friends Meeting and later attended the Paoli Friends Meeting.

Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, (Lester) Glenn Hall; her parents; two sisters, Hilda Dunn and Betty Oakley.

Funeral Service to be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 W. Campbell St. Paoli, IN.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM Monday, December 16, 2024, and 9:00 AM until time of service Tuesday, at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 W. Campbell St. Paoli, IN.

Interment to follow at Paoli Community Cemetery.
