Timothy M Slaten, 67 of French Lick, Indiana, passed away Monday November 12, 2019 at IU Health in Bloomington, Indiana. He was born March 9, 1952 in Paoli, IN to Jessie Porter Slaten and Wanda Ratliff Slaten. He married Carol Ann Middleton on May 5, 1973 and she survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Sheila Pearson.
Timothy was a retired truck driver for Shelby Trucking in Mitchell, Indiana. He was an avid IU, Colts, and Cowboys fan. He enjoyed playing cornhole, basketball, softball, football, and fishing with his entire family and their close friends. Timothy wasn’t only dad to his children, but to all their friends and the neighborhood kids. He was a papaw to ten children and anyone else he met over the years. His house was the hangout after school for all his grandkids and their friends. He went to all the games and competitions for all his kids and grandkids. Timothy was married to Carol for 46 beautiful years and you wouldn’t find a love greater than theirs.

Memorial Services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday November 16, 2019 at the New Life Community Church (Old Honeydew) located at 8183 West State Road 56, West Baden Springs, Indiana. Visitation to be held Saturday November 16, 2019 from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M. with a meal following the service for friends and family.
