Sherrie L. Threlkeld 57, of Orleans, Indiana passed away Thursday March 7, 2019 at IU Health Hospital in Paoli, Indiana.   She was born on July 19, 1961 in Paoli, Indiana to Leroy Hampton and Mary Kathleene McClellan.  She married Eric Threlkeld on March 22, 1982.

She was preceded in death by her father, one grandson Tyler Threlkeld.

She was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Paoli, Indiana.

Sherrie was a ball of energy who could light up a room. She loved hard and enjoyed her life to the fullest.  She had many health battles over the years, but it never kept her down.  Her biggest achievement was the amazing wife and mother that she was.  She worked many different jobs over the years, her favorite being at the Orleans After School Program.  She spoke of her time there often, and she kept up with a lot of the students over the years right up until the end.  Sherrie was a joy to know, as she didn’t know a stranger and could keep a conversation going anywhere, she went.  She will be fondly remembered for her giggle and smile.  Always quick to give a hug and encouraging word. She loved God and her Church.  She was ready to go home.  We are sad, but we know she is whole.  We will celebrate her life.

                Jennifer (Andy) Shipman,                                   Paoli, Indiana

Also surviving Sherrie L. Threlkeld are five grandchildren Isabell Shipman, Logan Shipman, Mehmet Beyaz, Isabella Fallucca, and Landon Shipman.  

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Friday March 15, 2019 at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home with John Hutcheson to officiate.  Cremation will follow.  Visitation to be held Thursday March 14, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. and from 9:00 A.M. until time of service on Friday at Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 West Campbell Street, Paoli, Indiana
