Ray L Wilhite, 82, Paoli, IN, passed away September 24, 2017, at IU Baptist Health Floyd County Hospital in New Albany, IN.  He was born September 2, 1935 in Valley Station, KY to Leonard R and Daisy Whooten Wilhite.  He married Oma Lee Hardesty on February 14, 1954 and she precedes him in death.

He loved to coon hunt and was an avid coon hunter for most of his life.

He was a retired union representative for AFLCO. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Oma, brother Charles Bradley and sister Clara Ruth Bradley.

Survivors include:

2 Daughters:  Connie Snell                       Paoli, IN

                   Debbie Qualkenbush             Paoli, IN

Ray L Wilhite is also survived by 2 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, September 28, 2017 at the Dillman-Scott Funeral Home, 226 West Campbell Street, Paoli, IN.  Visitation will also be held from 9 AM until the time of service on Thursday.  Interment will follow at the Paoli Community Cemetery.
