Betty Lou Cromwell, 87 of Paoli, Indiana, passed away Thursday December 26, 2019 at Paoli Health & Living. She was born October 3, 1932 in Paoli, Indiana to Charles Albert Lam and Josie Elizabeth Hammond. She married William Cromwell in 1960 and he survives.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents.
She began her work career at the age 12 at the grocery store across the street from her home. She later worked for Chair Company.
Betty was a Province Office of Try Kappa and a past President of Paoli Tri Kappa.
She was a member of the Paoli United Methodist Church and served as church historian. Betty served as a member of the United Methodist Bishop’s committee and she served on district and conference committees. She enjoyed travel, especially through France, which she visited several times with family and friends. Other countries she visited include England, Italy, Germany, Austria, Russia, Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria, and the Czech Republic.

Celebration of Life services will be held Saturday January 4, 2019 at 4:00 PM at the Dillman-Scott Funeral Home located at 226 W Campbell St, Paoli Indiana. Visitation will be from 1:00 PM until the time of service on Saturday.
Pastor Lamont Bonath will be officiating.
