Arnold (Red) Wayne Davis, 87 of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018, at Greenwood Meadows Rehab Facility in Greenwood, Indiana surrounded by his family. He was born December 7, 1930 in Paoli, Indiana to Alvis T. Davis and Mable I. (Lindley) Davis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Evelyn and two brothers Vance and Merrill.
Arnold was a 1950 graduate of Paoli High School where he was a star basketball player.
He was a member of Indiana Free Masons Lodge 714 since 1971 and a longtime member of the Murat Shriners.
He was also a US Army Veteran where he served in Germany from October 1951 through September 1953.
Arnold retired from Allison Gas Turbine (Rolls Royce) in 1980 where he worked for 30 years. He spent his last 37 years as a landlord extraordinaire always willing to give a helping hand to his tenants, other friends and family.
He loved fishing, IU basketball, Gunsmoke and tending to his rental properties.

Merrilyn (Mike) Larkin, Fishers, Indiana
Also surviving Arnold (Red) Wayne Davis are 13 great-nieces and nephews and 15 great-great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service for the family will be held in Paoli, Indiana, later this week.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the Murat Shriners in his name.
